## ** Increase the number of partners and supply origins of plant raw materials**

 

One of the first solutions to counteract constraints linked to the seasons is to increase the number of supply origins.

In fact, plants adapt to environments in which they grow and develop differently depending on the region.

Based on the plant terroir and climate the seasons vary which enables spreading out the harvest times.

 

## **Set up contracts and trusting relationships**

 

We are convinced of the importance of having good communication up and down the different steps to avoid any unexpected season-related events.

This is why we have set up contracts [with our supply chains](https://www.mynaturalorigins.com/en/blog/the-promotion-of-sustainable-farming-sectors-our-partnership-with-aroha) which commit us to guaranteeing quantities and which allow us to anticipate growing wild raw material or by using new land plots for growing a plant.

This trust-based relationship with our producers enables us also to guarantee sharing information with our farmers on site in order to be warned of crop progress (weather events, yields, etc.).

At the same time, we set up contracts with our clients in order to know their yearly needs for a specific plant. These contracts indicate the necessary quantities in order to fulfill the yearly stock supplies.

Working with plant raw materials implies having to follow the season cycles to determine what period to harvest each plant.

To this constraint must be added the time needed to process and analyse the plant in order to make available a raw material offering all its intrinsic qualities.

In order to ensure our clients visibility throughout the year, we have substantial stock (2 warehouses of 3 000 m², a refrigerator and a 180m3 cold chamber). We are committed to ensuring storage conditions and guaranteeing the freshness of the plants).

Just like an orchestra conductor, Natural Origins coordinates the different steps from the seed to the processed ingredient.

With respect by listening, anticipating and rigour, we take care of managing risk, stocks, the production and financial assets in order to offer the botanical ingredient you need just at the right moment.
