Royal jelly has been part of the product catalogue of Natural Origins for many years. Nevertheless, its integration did not come about overnight. Indeed, it required a significant work of sourcing. We had to identify a trusted partner, carry out quite a few tests and audits, and set up an accurate check process in order to present a royal jelly range responding to the highest quality and safety standards on the market. Let’s have a look on the main steps of this sourcing and Natural Origins commitments about royal jelly.

The choice of sustainable and involved sector for royal jelly

Each product of Natural Origins catalogue differs and requires special attention. To offer a qualitative royal jelly range, an in-depth analysis of its characteristics and possible partners is necessary. In that respect, our partner choice were inclined toward a collective of Chinese beekeepers. In addition to their expertise, they were selected for their focus on the living conditions of bees. Their beehives are located in preserved and protected region far from major metropolises and industrial areas. Conductive to bees development, this environment is regularly controlled.

Systematic checks for an impeccable quality of royal jelly

Quality is at the heart of Natural Origins commitments. That is why we systematically carry out checks on royal jelly batches and select best qualities of our partner beekeepers. Checks are performed by an Italian laboratory reputed for the reliability of its analysis with very low detection limits. For instance, it ensures batch-to-batch consistency through type 1 royal jelly criteria fixed by the standard ISO 12824. Natural Origins also decided to go further in requiring highest quality standards of the market. We choose for analysis methods and the most constraining checks of the market on the whole of contaminants, especially on antibiotics. Nine antibiotics families are taken into account in order to ensure a high quality production of royal jelly to our customers.

A wide range of royal jelly to meet all needs

Extensively studied over the past years, the royal jelly is an ingredient which has many benefits and uses. To meet the requirements of the market, Natural Origins proposes different qualities of royal jelly: conventional, organic or lyophilized.
