Further to our testimonies concluding our 2020 editorial line in which we wanted to give the floor to the women and the men at Natural Origins, who have gone through an atypical year related to the current economic situation.

Today we would like you to hear from the extraction site and supply chain managers about the successes of the year and the challenges awaiting us in 2021.

Patrice Arcis - Production department head

"Opening the new plant extraction production site in the midst of Covid-19, involving many stakeholders was a real challenge to start off my first year at Natural Origins!

But I am pleased because we succeeded in launching the site with a commissioning carried out on time and our first productions in complete compliance".

"The recruiting went well too. We formed a team of people from different professional backgrounds, selected for their willingness to be an integral part of our adventure.

They also demonstrated that they were motivated to partake in a sometimes new activity.

The result is a unified and understanding team ready to adapt and operate in the starting up of this new production tool".

2. What challenges lie ahead in 2021?

"There’s still a lot of work to be done because we need to grow in terms of know-how and autonomously on all the production job positions. We are also pursuing formalising procedures in view of client audits ad our FSSC 22000 certification with the expansion of the site. We’re going to have a particularly busy year".

"I would like to pay tribute to our order preparation and the sales administration teams because they knew how to stay motivated and rally despite worse working conditions, especially in the beginning of the lockdown this year.

Each and everyone of them proved to be autonomous and adapt to the situation. I feel very proud of them!"

"Our service rate improved compared to last year 2019 results. This is fully satisfactory even if there might be some areas of improvement".

2. What challenges lie ahead in 2021?

« It’s no surprise, still and is always to improve our service rate. Deliver in a timely manner, inform our clients of unforeseen eventualities, show the clients that we are close to them and that we are concerned about satisfying their needs ».

Adaptability, resilience, and solidarity are undoubtedly the 3 words that have resonated over this past year in our organisation and yours. Three cornerstones which were necessary to deal with unique events and to continue to progress.

We wish that 2021 be calmer and we see the resolving of the health crisis in terms of the safety and the well-being of each and everyone of us. We also aspire to this experience bringing awareness of the importance of committing ourselves to more respectful for the planet models and for the humans who live on this planet. We will work with this aim in mind.
We hope you will be able to spend this end of the year holiday time safely with your loved ones.
May we wish you all a happy holiday season.
