The new Natural Origins premises: the Dry Process unit, the R&D and quality control laboratory, the showroom…

Natural Origins is pleased to present the new premises of its Soyons plant near Valence (France). By relocating our "dry process" production lines from Lozanne to Soyons in the Ardèche, we are completing the final step in our industrial consolidation project. The construction of a new building on the site will concentrate storage, extraction and raw material processing activities on a single, vast site.

The new building dedicated to dry process

The new facility, which will be operational by the end of the year, will occupy a surface area of around 4,000 m² and will have photovoltaic panels on its roof, enabling 45% average self-consumption.

The new dry process building will also include offices, a break room, changing rooms and a production laboratory. The building complies with ICPE2260 standards.

Our industrial expertise for the new dry process building comprises several successive phases, as detailed below:

  1. Sorting and disinsectisation
  2. Cutting
  3. Sieving
  4. Grinding
  5. Blending
  6. Packaging

Each production line is located in a separate workshop to prevent any risk of cross-contamination.

Building extension: our showroom and laboratory

A new timber-framed building houses our offices and laboratories. This structure built on stilts also enables us to avoid waterproofing the ground. To welcome our teams and customers in the best possible way, we have designed outdoor areas and terraces for relaxation to enhance the site.

On the ground floor is our showroom, where prototypes and examples of finished products are on display, along with an area for tasting. The tour continues with the sample library, where samples are prepared, picked and dispatched. Finally, there is the laboratory, which combines R&D and quality control over 150m², with an area for formulation and tasting workshops.

On the first level, there are two floors: one with a customer-friendly meeting room with a terrace overlooking the Vercors; the other is dedicated to the sales and marketing team.

Immersion in the botanical world

Our site now enables us to handle the entire process in a single location, in the heart of the Drôme and Ardèche aromatic and medicinal plants basin. This enables us to show our customers what we do at every stage of the production process, from  a complete "immersion" in the field to the finished product.

In the showroom, we can show customers our different applications for natural ingredients, then encourage them to design, test and taste their own formulations in the R&D laboratory with our workshops.

To ensure total immersion, we also offer them the opportunity to come into direct contact with our botanicals by visiting the farms of our local farmers, located less than an hour from our premises.

Our customers have access to the entire production chain, from the cultivation of our botanicals, which are harvested and dried on site, to their reception and storage, right through to the production process (sorting, cutting, disinsectisation, extraction, atomisation and blending) and the finished product.
